meet us.

Yasmeen: Hello, World! Yas here!  Things you should know about me: (1) I am a multicultural shmorgishborg; (2) I will eat almost anything, but I don’t partake in the swine or spirits; (3) I am known for always taking pictures of me stuffing my face with food on EVERY trip I have ever been on; (4) Cooking and baking are my stress relievers. And last but not least; (5) I show my love and affection through food.  With that said, I promise to always give you my unsolicited, honest opinion and to convey to you the FUN and EXCITEMENT that food always brings me! My friends have donned me, as “the best food buddy ever” and I hope to be your "BFB" on the “internets!” I hope you enjoy this labor of love as much as Cat, Jenn and I do!

Jenn: If I could have a third grandmother, Paula Deen would be my girl. I'm a recent law school graduate that hums when she eats (and dances if it's really good).  If that martini glass has sugar on the rim and something pomegranate in it, I'm all about it. People say, "Well, why don't you marry it?!?" when I talk about goat cheese.  It's a problem. Anyhoo, I'm super pumped (insert Jersey Shore fist pump here) to start this foodie adventure across the great state of Texas.  I live for a sassy cocktail, a great meal, and an upscale atmosphere, and I hope to find that for you wonderful people out there.  And I'm no health nut.  Just a girl who loves red meat and even redder wine. So bring on the medium prime rib and macaroni and cheese with LOTS of bacon. Because if that meal is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Cat:I require weekly "Me Times," which always include: (1) serious pampering, (2) something delish, and (3) a glass of something better. My specialties consist of wine, seafood, and eating healthily...but satisfyingly. Although I do partake in the rare…and by "rare" I mean "frequent," small fry. *blushes* I'm a southern girl with a taste for most things lavish and all things delicious. BUT, I refuse to touch either swine or red meat. But no worries, there are SO many other food options to obsess over. When I'm not eating, I'm doing something attorney-ish and thinking about my next foodie adventure…or my hair. My perfect Saturday begins with family, is broken up by the requisite "Me Time," and ends with friends and the occasional glass of sweetly flavored spirit with a dash of amaretto (preferably on the rocks) but frozen if you have it. And yes. "Me Time" is always capitalized. Most importantly, I'm ready to take on every happy hour, brunch, dinner, and lunch that my current city has to offer!! You want us to review you? Let us know!!! First Austin, then...who knows? *kisses*
